Today we had a ooey gooey time playing with pumpkin guts. It felt a little weird to us. Some just touched it and some were right in there taking the slimey seeds out of the pumpkin. Tamara, Tyler & Lisa
We had a fun morning manipulating playdough. We squished it, ripped it apart and stuck straws in it.
Sending out a Happy Father's Day to all of the dads in the infant room. Here is a sneak peek of our gifts to you.
We had some visitors stroll by our window this morning. They came by a few times. We also saw a black cat. We have added pictures of the things we have seen through our window. We will add more pictures as we see more things. -Tamara & Lisa.
We have been very busy in the Infant room. Here are a few pictures of what we have been up to. Nothing's funnier then sliding into a pool of bubbles!-Tamara & Lisa
We have also done a lot of art projects.
While it was raining outside, we had a ton of fun inside! First our student Kaitlin brought in some CoolWhip to feel. Of course we had to taste it also. Haha.
Maybe rub a little on our tummy's to!
Next up was painting! We brought in the pool and put some paint in it.
And then we got in the pool!
Finally, this is what educators look like after a painting activity that leads to giving all of the infants baths afterwards! Tamara is such a good sport!!!!
Today we were busy with some fine motor activities. First we glued tissue paper down to paper. This was really tricky for us because the tissue paper stuck to our little fingers.
Next we tried to weave string through wire racks. They did really well with this activity.- Tamara & Lisa
Today the puppies at the neighbours house were out in the yard. The children love to look at them through the window. When they were outside today we pretended we were puppies to. We 'woofed' and played like pups. We made headbands with puppy ears. The children thought we were really funny. -Tamara & Lisa
Last week the children were really interested in cars. So we expanded on this interest in a few ways. First we set up our car mats and cars for the children to play. We wanted to see if they would understand the concept.
The second activity to expand play we placed tape on the floor around the room to imitate a road. We drove cars around the 'road'. We also walked 'the line'.
We found boxes and made cars for kids to imitate driving. This was a huge hit. The children have been playing and still interested in this for awhile. -Tamara & Lisa
