We had a great week talking about RESPONSIBILITY! The children shared with each other the responsibilities they have at home. Some children are responsible for making their bed, remembering to brush their teeth, feeding the animals, cleaning their room, picking up toys, taking care of younger siblings and helping Mom and Dad with supper. The children are proud to be so helpful and we celebrated their attempts. We also recognized that sometimes we forget and that's okay as long as we continue to try. RESPONSIBILITY was a big word for us so we used some books to help us understand!! Below are the books we read this week to help us learn about responsibility. We visited Mrs.Usiner at the custodian's room to see what her responsibilities are in the school to help keep it clean. We got to see the chariot washer, the big floor cleaners and all the supplies. Wow there was a lot of stuff in there.
I look forward to seeing what next week will bring. See you then! Have a safe weekend.

Numbers rumba all day long (throw hands in the air)
Number 1, number 1, number one is straight but fun!

Number 3, number 3, three bananas in a banana tree!
Number 4, number 4, four big gorillas, knocking on the door.
Number 5, number 5, five buzzing bees in a big bee hive.
Do the numbers rumba. Clap, clap clap.

Show and Share- Letter A
Our first show and share was a raging success. Children brought in items from home starting with letter A, containing the letter A, and some things that just made us go AAAAAAAAAAhhh!! It was great to see the children take time to listen to one another and ask questions about items they brought. Next show and share will be letter C at the end of October (please see your activity calendar)
This month we welcomed TARA MILLS- Director of Souris Cooperative Day Care Center Inc. to read with us and spend time in our class. Many of us know who Tara is from the Day Care, some of the children did not. We had great time getting to know each other while we read THE OK BOOK.
