What exciting visits we had this week!! I love to see the Nursery School children and the residents of the PCH interact the way they do. A few of the children were shy at first, but learned quickly how fun it could be. One of the residents said "I forgot how noisy kids can be!" ... And those were our QUIET voices!!! :)
Play time was so fun - we were all busy building homes for the animals and sea creature finger puppets. We tested the strength of our breath to see if we could huff and puff down the blocks. We DID!!! We created necklaces from the beads and string, also laced cards and built potato heads.
At the end of each visit we spent time singing and ringing bells with the residents to familiar Christmas songs. Each group practiced their concert performance song for the first audience of the year!! Smiles of excitement and joy were all over the faces- young and old. Some gave hugs and high fives when we left, some exclaimed "Merry Christmas!" and some waved goodbye.
Thank you Holly Berg for accommodating our groups as best you could. We all look forward to visiting again soon.
