Can you believe that there are only SIX weeks left of Nursery School?! I surely cannot.
Oh the things we have learned... the things I have learned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!h
This week we spent Monday and Tuesday exploring the new restaurant area set-up in our classroom. The children experimented with egg dozens, pizza halves, quarters and thirds as well as exciting topping flavors. Have you ever tried an egg/icing/mushroom pizza?
Grocery store field trips were a huge hit thanks to Georie's wonderful store tours and Daryl's tour of the backroom. The kids were quite excited about the lifts and elevator build by Daryl's grandfather which is used to move frozen storage to the basement. To be honest- I worried that the grocery store would be a bore, as I am sure many children visit there regularly... I was proven wrong- of course. Who knew you could mix an apple and pear to create an Asian pear!? (well I am sure someone does, but not me, and not the kids!)
This week we also said goodbye to our Nursery School friend Ruben. He has been a wonderful part of our afternoon classes and we will miss him very much. I am sure I learned more about frogs from him than he did from me! :)
I hope everyone has a wonderful, safe and adventurous long weekend!!
