Wow, the last week of May is here already! :(
Time is flying by way too quickly.
The Nursery School children have all had tours of the Kindergarten classroom. Some of us were paired up with Kindergarten buddies who gave us a tour of the classroom. The kids mostly enjoyed seeing the pirate ships and reading stories with them.
Yesterday the classes and I went outside for a walk around the school grounds to observe the early years field day. We saw children in potato sacks, children racing and high jumping. All the Nursery School children thought it would be fun to have our own field day. I intend to incorporate these activities on our campground day in June.
Please find in your mailbox- the last permission form for field trips this year. Combined on the form is our trip to Hillcrest Museum and the Campground Day.
Next week we will review letter Y, with Z to follow.
Please- if you have not sent in a baby picture of your child for the graduation slideshow do this as soon as possible. I now have the slideshow put together and am still missing 5 baby pictures. If I do not receive your picture I will just use a family photo or another classroom picture of your child.
This week we welcomed a new friend in our afternoon class- Kinton and next week we will welcome Laila. It is so exciting to still have new registrations so late in the year. Thank you for sharing positive words about our program. I truly believe that it is the strong support from the parents that has helped build this program into the success it has been this year.
See you next week,
M.Frieze
